Privacy policy

This policy explains what information TechFix Faisalabad collects, how we use it, and how we handle the data held on devices you leave with us. If anything here is unclear, contact us at info@techfix.pk.

Information we collect

• Contact details you give us — name, phone number, and email or WhatsApp number — so we can identify your device and update you on the job.
• Device details — make, model, serial number, reported fault, and any passcode you choose to share with us for testing.
• Website usage — anonymous analytics about pages visited, used to improve the site.

The data on your device

This is the part that matters most. When you leave a device or drive with us, we may unavoidably be able to see files stored on it while diagnosing or recovering data.

• We access your files only as far as the job requires — verifying a recovery succeeded, or confirming a repair works.
• Recovered data is kept on isolated storage that is not connected to the public internet.
• We do not copy, share, publish or sell your files.
• Once you confirm you have received your recovered data, we permanently erase our working copies. If you want them kept temporarily as a backup, tell us and we will agree a period in writing.
• If we encounter material we are legally required to report, we will comply with Pakistani law.

Passcodes and passwords

Some repairs cannot be tested without unlocking the device. Sharing a passcode is your choice. We use it only for testing, and we recommend you change it after collecting your device.

How we use your information

• To carry out the repair or recovery you asked for
• To contact you with a quote, progress updates, or to tell you the device is ready
• To keep a record of work carried out, for warranty and accounting purposes

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.

WhatsApp

Booking through this website opens a conversation in WhatsApp. Those messages are handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy terms as well as this policy. Avoid sending sensitive documents, passwords or card details over WhatsApp.

Cookies and analytics

We use basic analytics to understand which pages are useful. The map on our contact page loads from Google only when you click to load it, so no Google cookies are set unless you choose to view it.

How long we keep things

Job records are kept for accounting and warranty purposes. Working copies of recovered data are erased once you confirm receipt. Devices left uncollected are handled under our terms and conditions.
